What should I see around the table before I call rather than fold? [/ QUOTE ] 6 other players. |

Re: 22 utg

If I saw 2 or 3 green stats (assuming standard PT formatting) I'd call, if it was all red I'd fold. Then again, not my money so the temptation to raise is strong. When your friend asks why just say Depends. [/ QUOTE ] What if they were like 32/7ish? or like 30/6, 28/7, 42/2, etc... with those three, maybe 1-2 like the 28/7 guy, and then a bunch of tags? |

Re: 22 utg
DavidC, you've been around enough to know the line on small PP, on tight tables you are more likely to fold them in EP, loose tables no so much. A few greenies are enough to make this a call for me. A whole lot of red and it's easier to fold. 22 is one of the easiest hands to play so calling against a rock garden isn't going to be the worst mistake.

Re: 22 utg
[ QUOTE ]
how about a table full of people ~30/6? [/ QUOTE ] I can imagine scenarios where a table full of 30/6 players will make me want to fold preflop and a table full of 30/6 players will make me want to limp. [ QUOTE ] What if they were like 32/7ish? or like 30/6, 28/7, 42/2, etc... with those three, maybe 1-2 like the 28/7 guy, and then a bunch of tags? [/ QUOTE ] Read this. I feel like you've been around long enough to know it, but maybe you don't. Questions like these show that you're looking for answers to your questions in all the wrong places. |

Re: 22 utg

You'd think by this point you'd know what to look for if you're limping 22 UTG... David why are you hypothetical with every one of your posts? It's annoying. I wouldn't have said anything, but this is the most retarded question I've seen you ask so far. What's wrong with just posting hands and table conditions? [/ QUOTE ] lol davidc > you |

Re: 22 utg
It really depends on what one person limping does to the table dynamic. Note that often one player limping UTG in a 10-handed game that is normally somewhat aggressive (but not super aggressive) can often set off a limpfest. I'd probably muck here but I don't play full ring anymore.

That was a little unjust, eskimo.
Hand 1: looks like an easy call. |

Re: 22 utg
Hand 2:
This is pretty borderline, and I don't mind a fold. Regardless of the looseness, players are quite aggressive, and depending on where the raise comes from my action could suffer. I limped anyways, but I don't know if it was correct. |

Re: 22 utg
In general, I just muck that [censored] in early position, everything like 66-22, unless it's a very exceptional table.
88-77 I raise, fold, or call, depending on the table. If they're pretty tough, I just fold. If the table is loose and passive, I limp, if it's in the middle, I probably raise but sometimes call. 99+ I raise. |
