I think it's smart to move up if you think the game is good, how are u ever gona win a lot of money. Just have the coolness to take a hit and move back down.

In your situation a flop fold would be in order because 1)you aren't looking for marginal situations to get your stack in, 2) if villain is so bad just try to get in cheap and hit a hand, you can probably break the moron from a $12 pot with the right cards.
