Absolutely nothing to offer. Plus, pretty much all Swedes secretly think they have a special gift for poker. Added together, I think you have your answer.

I agree that the university of technology has to be one reason, but there are a lot of cities with such universities so that by itself doesn't explain much. Maybe because there is a rather small population the influencing force becomes stronger on that group of people. When a lot of your friends play poker then you start playing and then your other friends start playing and so on. Like a snowball effect that has most force when the population is not too big. Combine that with the fact that a decent percentage of the inhabitants in Linköping are male students between 18 and 26 years old which is consistent with the average persona of poker players nowadays. I don't know if that made aaaany sense at all. But I really doubt that Erik123 has anything to do with it though. [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img] I am also from Linköping btw.

After Stockholm, Malmö, and Göteborg, there's a [censored] load of cities in Sweden which are basically the same size with Linköping being just one of them.

I'd be curious to know if the number of players drops in the summer. The summers in Sweden are as amazing and the winters are depressing. All I know is that the winter I spent in Stockholm was far better than the winter I spent in Bollnas and if they had internet poker back then I would have been on 24/7.
