If i'm the best player at the table (or at least one of the top 2, and I should be if i'm game-selecting well) then I want as much money as possible in my stack at all times.

Although I have played with guys who did something like this, whether it was intentional or not, and when I see somebody sitting in shortstacked I assume they suck. Then I look back a few hands later to see they're full, and change my mind. So I guess it could possibly work to throw your opponents off a bit, but not really if theyre paying attention.

not if you suck playing a 20 bb stack compared to a 100 bb stack. Then it is not worth the hassle.
