Re: Is this a +EV or even sane call?
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] What is he calling your flop bet with? And what hands push the turn? Sounds like an Ace to me. I fold. [/ QUOTE ] I'm not so sure an Ace fits the bill here. Ace good kicker with all those limpers, surely he would raise PF. Ace with a weak kicker... maybe? But wouldn't a raise be then justified especially with 2 suits on the board? I really see a paired ace being shoved by a short stack. On the turn my thinking was that he was using the diamond draw for his fold equity. I mean, if he had the flush wouldn't this be a check-jam situation? Surely he would want to extract as many chips from me as he could. Also, why would he jam the turn with an Ace but not the flop? [/ QUOTE ] you said it your self..the only thing that even remotely makes sense is the flush...yet you still called? if your read was that he had a flush u were drawing dead on the turn...if you make a read, trust it. edit: the jam without the check to you is outplaying you...he assumes u have a good hand and that you MUST call...and you did...because he didnt check to you to feign "weakness" he decided to jam all instantly to catch you off gaurd and make you assume he is weak. |

Re: Is this a +EV or even sane call?
fold PF
check flop fold turn he either caught the weak kicker matching his Ace or he made the flush theres just not alott your beating 87- 7x6x5x4x3x2x wich most are unlikely hands for the villian to have this is a clear fold on all streets |

Re: Is this a +EV or even sane call?
What do you guys make of the villain's overbet push? Looks scared. I think he has us beat solid, but that he really doesn't want to see a river (another diamond, board pairing). Aces up? What kind of hands do typical villains make this move with? With what kind of hands is it a good play?
