Re: 4/8 LHE Live - K2s
yeah, preflop this is a definate fold.
i would only play the hand one off the button or the button for one bet. |

[ QUOTE ]
well obviously i am worried about 44 and 99, but i think villain could have many 2x hands, all of which we beat (on the river but not the turn), including a2. that's why i would rather go more bets on the river than the turn. i wouldn't go like eight though, but maybe four-ish. [/ QUOTE ] Going four bets here given the previous action seems spewy to me. |

how many do you want to go on the turn? [/ QUOTE ] Given the three-bet on the turn getting four bets on the river is bad. Four-betting the turn and calling down from there = 5 BB your line = 7 BB. Big difference. |

Re: 4/8 LHE Live - K2s
In a game that passive I think Kxs is fine if you're frequently getting to the turn for free as well.
[ QUOTE ] He seemed like a solid player as he was the only other player not in every pot. [/ QUOTE ] If you're right about that, A2 spades is the only possible 2 he could have. I think you're probably going to see 44 or 99. Had you seen him raise at all preflop? He could have a badly played overpair I guess. I'd just call the river if you haven't seen much aggression from him in other hands. |

Re: 4/8 LHE Live - K2s
I fold pre flop. As played, I bet the flop, and if he is as solid as you say he is, I call the three bet on the turn and call the river... I agree with keeks, you're probably gonna see 44 or 99, the only hand I see that you're beating here is A2 and that's not likely since he checked the flop as well.

Re: 4/8 LHE Live - K2s
When he 3-bet the turn, I put him on 44, 99, or A2. When the King hit the river, I couldn't help myself and I raised. Of course he 3-bet and I knew I was beat but had to call just in case. He had pocket 9's.
In retrospect based on my read of the player I should have just called the river regardless of the card (unless I spiked the last duece). The fact that he didn't raise preflop and didn't bet the flop made it hard for me to put him on pocket 9's, but it was more likely that he had 9's or 4's than A2 (only one 2 remaining) when he raised the turn, so I was beat more often than not and should just call the river. |
