Default Re: Henderson, NV poker?

Lol. Joker's Wild actually showed up on the Cardplayer room locator, but something told me it wasn't worth asking about.

I am 4-5 minutes from both Sunset and Jokers Wild.

The Jokers Wild poker room isn't bad. It's a small alcove and only a couple of tables, but the games go pretty regularly and the staff is quite friendly. The Jokers Wild also has (no kidding) my favorite salad bar in the entire city and $1 craps.

Sunset Station used to have the best $4/$8 half kill and $3/$5 no limit games in town. No joke, when that no limit game would go, you would routinely see two players get 50+ blinds all-in pre-flop and turn over KJ and KQ. That game was absolutely amazing. Green Valley has smothered the games at Sunset and they aren't as good as they used to be but they are still good. You will usually find $3/$6/$9, $4/$8 with a half kill and a $1/$3 no limit game going at Sunset. If you ask, you can sometimes get a $6/$12+ going. Both Green Valley Ranch Station and Sunset Station are usually worth the trek. Green Valley is more popular these days. Make sure you get a players card because the Station casinos have a pretty good poker comp system.
