Re: QQ near satellite bubble
[ QUOTE ]
Playing a bit aggro when you are a shortish to medium stack will get you blown out a bit, but also will get you comfortably in the money. Particularly when you have shorties behind you, that you can put all in with any 2. [/ QUOTE ] It's safer to shove into the medium stacks and stacks slightly larger than you, as they will have much greater FE than the short stacks. The short stacks should be more inclined to call you and being as shallow as you are it would still hurt....so I am not pushing any 2 into shorties here. I am more likely pushing any 2 into stacks of 14k-24k with 16k here. As played I still think it is a fold. It's obviously +ceV but vs. his range of hands and the payout structure my instincts are telling me this is a bad call when it comes to $eV. I think if you had KK it would be close. I hate the standard raise, AI and folding outright are both better options here. |

BTW, don't I have the 3rd best starting hand here? [/ QUOTE ] It depends on where AK is ranked. You may be right. |

Thanks guys, esp. Adanthar's posts are gold. I realize now that I [censored] it up on both counts. Next time, I'll be that much wiser.

I shove the first time that the action is to me [/ QUOTE ] I agree. You're at 10BB's- no need to dick around. Just push it. Otherwise I think you need to fold now. I've pushed KK here and ran into AA on sat bubbles...it happens, but it's still the best play with only 10bb's. |
