I'm pretty sure that this is very very super-standard across not just poker but all currency exchange institutions.

If PP do go multi-currency soon (as mentioned above), won't that solve this problem?

No it's not super super standard in poker. I am with several other poker sites, out of the sites that I'm with afaik it is the only one that does it. Some I know for sure don't operate in this manner, others I would need to doublecheck to be certain, but it is not standard nor is it acceptable imo.

I do know that virgin poker also operated the same way(presume it still does) but I don't have an account with them. If partypoker were a financial institution it's understandable, but they already make big money from rake, from me alone it's enough to buy a decent car, and that's just one individual. If players tolerate this extra sneaky revenue source, you can be sure other sites may follow suit.

I'm pretty sure you can open a $ account at most major European banks, at least I can in Holland.

Nothing wrong with bitchin though when it comes to corporate greed.

That "I'm pretty sure" part is how you can tell that the exact opposite is true. This has to be the strongest "tell" in 2+2 posting.

Thats great but then pretty much any other way of transfering $ to < > is going to have similar fx charges/spreads. Unless you want to spend money in $ in online shops or abroad etc i cant see why its useful. Or ami missing something?
