does he not get paid and get benefits?
did he not sign up on his own accord, i dont owe him jack, my taxes already helped him. now whether or not you should "respect" him is a different story? personally, just because someone is automatically in the military doesnt mean they automatically have my respect

I certainly appreciate all of the people in the armed forces, I'm not sure I owe anyone though... everyone who's ever sucked out KK against my AA I'd say "owes me" too, but I don't really expect any donations. Was your roommate pissed off or something when he said this? And has he actually been in combat? [/ QUOTE ] 1. No, he's actually said it a few times. Even to me the other day because he never buys beer for the house. 2. No, he is getting deployed in July.

No one owes him anything, he volunteered for it. That being said, if he gets deployed and serves his country honorably, he gets my respect.
