This is my problem. A friend owed me $30 and the only way he could pay me was through Party Poker.

So he transferred $50 to my account and then we sat down on a table (heads up) and I gave him back $20.

He transfers you $80

Your friend is able to transfer you money on Party, but has no bank account from which he can cut a check or withdraw $30 cash?

It's amazing I'm not a more profitable player, considering the genius minds that play online.

Another way:
Friend transfers to $100,000
You transfer back $970,000

Yet another way you may have heard of:
They have these things called 'checks' and you can send them in the 'mail'. You put a little stamp on the envelope and in a couple days it will appear at your place like magic!!!

Probably less work involved than IM'ing each other...okay, I'm at such-and-such table...okay, I'll give you back the $20 by doing this, you just bet and I'll fold on this one, okay?

And, of course, there's the additional advantage of extremely little risk that the post-office will come to your bank and close your checking account for paying back a small debt.

Now, Bob, you know that will never work. First the guy's check might appear to the OP as "sketchy". Secondly, the bank teller might look at the OP "funny" or even ask *GASP* what this check is for. Finally, checks for such large amounts appearing out of nowhere might set off "red flags" with the IRS. No, violating the site rules and chip dumping seems to be a much better course of action.
