This kind of player also may for some weird reason fear a higher flush, and then when you bet small say well now that he bet small, he doenst have a big hand, so Ill push my flush. This has been my experience live with a number of donks who fit this description.

Villain sounds like a guy who doesn't think at many levels so I'm not even sure he's capable of checking that river with a straight with the intention of c/r. Looks like a snap call.

[/ QUOTE ] I wouldn't put him on complete air either, but he might have a JT or pair with a straight draw that he knows turned into a river bluff. Maybe even the flush draw with a pair, if he's really that desperate. And yeah, definite call. I would hate receiving that speech, too, but you'd have to call, since he might be playing for the pot in a desperate bluff since it's late and he's stuck. An ugly two pair or lower set is completely possible. If he has the straight, ouch.
