Even though the play down there is quite bad, you will most probably have troubles extracting money postflop (discounting a flop like this). Try to think about what kind of flop you would wan't to hit and what hands would pay you of on that flop.

Raising here is bad and raising this amount is aweful -- the hand isn't nearly good enough for us to want a bigger pot. I would limp behind because every villian has a stack size of 100 BB or more. We have position and can really get payed off if we get a big hand.

On the flop, raise to protect your hand and to build the pot. Since the sb didn't bet all that much and you have position, your bet won't necessarily be all that scary to the villains despite its size. You probably get at least one or more players who will stick around or even try to make a move.

[/ QUOTE ]I don't know about that. Its not like you're in MP or even CO. You're on the button. Last to act on each street so you can decide whether or not to move on based on what happens in front of you. But if you play these you need to understand that if a Q hits on the flop and you're in with 3 other players you probably do not have the best hand. The guy with AQ or KQ does. But if QTX flops or a SD then by all means play it as long as X < T

I don't mind the raise preflop to punish the limpers but I'm very aggressive on the button and wouldn't raise it from any other position after two limpers, full ring makes it closer to a fold though but I think it's fine to raise as long as you play ok preflop and raising>limping behind IMO, my vpip/pfr with QTo on the button is 75/75 over last 20k hands and it's a winning hand for me so far, obviously sample size is not big enough to really know but I'm also winning with most similar hands. I definitely don't think raising is a big leak but folding is also fine.

I'm raising on this flop to about tree fiddy.
