They asked for drivers license, passport and photocopies of front and back of credit card. Money laundering a few hundred dollars??Yeah big time crim here

Im surprised other people consider emailing those identification documents around is a normal thing to do? What happens when someone in that organization decides the database of everyone's passport and credit card images, might be worth a LOT of money and sells it on? You need those things to open bank accounts and to conduct large withdrawls. You just dont email images of those things to non-government agencies. Especially not to unregulated private companies.

A crime is a crime none the less.
As for the people at party poker, a corporation like that would have extensive measures to stop that happening. PLUS you would be able to sue them as they've breached one of their agreements

Sue them? Good luck. Do you know what country their head office is registered in? Where would you even send your lawyer?

If you put a copy of your passport, credit card signature, bank account details and drivers license, into a private and unregulated companies' database, you are asking for big trouble. That databse would be worth a fortune and in the wrong hands... I'm very surprised that others here have done that.

And as honest as any company is, there are always dishonest people within them.

I think you'd be somewhere near the bottom of the list for identity theft.

bornready, feeling as you do, why are you attempting to gamble online? Since you have such strong convictions, you should never attempt to conduct any type of transaction online. Good Luck.

You are new to poker, that's a genuine excuse for not being aware off the following: this type of mistake you made, is frequently misused by scammers.

PartyPoker has no other choice then to act this way.

Its always people with zero posts. Why is the ratio of new posters to current posts being 'screwed' by a site around the 1:8 mark?

And thats just the ones who come here to report it, instead of cutting their losses for money laundering attempts etc.

Clearly, online poker is not for you. Maybe you should consider bird watching as a hobby.
