All my stocks are shown as "pending".
Typical?
Is CNBC just updating at the end of the day, or am I missing something?

It all gets updated at the end of the day, and you cannot trade intraday. Therefore, it makes little sense to put in orders during the trading day.

Ok ... I would like to sell my NEW right now (curently +28.51%)! I wish they had intraday trading and didn't have bonus bucks.

News Bonus Bucks: 10.8B (Citigroup announced a $10.8 billion takeover bid ...)

Video Bonus Bucks:I guessed 3% for GMs Feb sales increase and got it wrong.

Do we all get the same questions?

there is no way a hedge fund would head hunt the top performers of this competition. there are just to many traders that are curretnly employed that would take spots at the top hedge funds. The overall winner of the challege would have a decent chance of getting interviews with funds after the "fake" trading is done. This challenge is a big deal for cnbc and i can imagine that there will be live interviews with the winner. If this person proves not to be a fluke i feel it is a safe bet that fund managers will find him and figure out what he knows.

It's like a cheap lottery ticket. I figure your best bet is to put everything into one volatile stock and hope for the best. $500 million minimum market cap.

Today's bonus questions/answers

News Question: Mortgage applications were up last week. By how much?

Answer: 7.3%

Video Question: According the NBC/WSJ poll, what percentage of investors expect the stock market to increase in the next year?

Answer: 46%

Another easy 3k ...

I wish we could short sell.

I am going to give this a try. I have no idea what I am doing. I am going to buy stock in Burger King because I love their double cheeseburgers.

hey thanks for the trivia questions!!! Yesterday I answered both questions correctly but my account this morning showed that I got no credit for them. Oh well, nothing ventured, nothing gained. The whole contest is mostly a matter of luck tho for all the prices are determined as of the market close. Those prices are just too hard to predict. Good luck to everyone tho. Wow, maybe someone here might win. I will appreciate it if each day someone might post the video question since I have no access to it. Don't know how much bonus dollars actually count since winners are decided by how great a PERCENTAGE one's portfolio increases, not by dollar amount.
