Wtf seriously? They're decent and all, but really?

PS Do the mexicanos hate you because you blast 'black' on repeat while you sit in the corner and lament, possibly cutting yourself or at least sobbing quietly?

CC, you are dead to me. Pearl Jam is more than decent. Not only does every album kick ass, but the lyrics are some of the best out there. Plus, like OP said, they are awesome live.

There is only one word that can possibly describe Pearl Jam negatively: Heyfoxymophandlemama.

Oh noez, I should've known by the 'mother love bone' avatar.

MLB > Pearl Jam

What can I say, 'state of love and trust' and 'yellow ledbetter' are amazing songs, among others, they just never grabbed me the way other bands of the era/genre did (mudhoney, afghan whigs, etc.)

Decent is still pretty good when everything sucks, dig?

Afghan Whigs for life. Kings of the purposely dysfunctional relationship.

Hear me now and listen to me later: PJ is our generation's Dead.

You ever listen to "hater"?

I just got all nostalgic for the time when MTV was actually something meaningful. Saturday nights in my preteen and early teen years: Yo Mtv Raps, Headbanger's ball, 120 minutes. [censored] awesome for developing a diverse musical appreciation.

I remember my favorite song and video for a little while was 'dream all day' by the screaming trees. The lyrics might seem trite now but they were haunting for an 11 year old kid.

Pearl Jam is definitely one of my favorites. Check out this amazing performance of State of Love and Trust I found on YouTube - I LOVE this song and this is prob best version I've found. Enjoy!

No sir, I don't know what hater is.

I didn't develop good taste til like grade 10, and it wasn't thanks to MTV or anything, just exploring bands I knew one or two songs from like Soundgarden and STP. We have Much Music up here as our music channel and it sucks ass with the exception of a weekly show called The Wedge that plays all indy stuff.

So now that I got semi-balla money I've just been buying whatever interests me and expanding my tastes that way. Most of the CDs I buy lately are at least 10 years old.

From Wiki:

Hater was an American rock band from the 1990s, a side project mostly under the direction of Soundgarden bassist Ben Shepherd. Additional members included Soundgarden drummer Matt Cameron, John McBain (ex-Monster Magnet and, later, partner of Cameron and Shepherd in Wellwater Conspiracy), and Brian Wood, brother of Mother Love Bone vocalist Andrew Wood.

They sound like they'd be metal by the names and images, maybe why they never became more popular.

Plus, MTV sucks more ass now than anything ever.
