They are very popular worldwide. [/ QUOTE ] Again, . We must have vastly different definitions for the word "popular." It doesn't "mean well thought of by those of an indie persuasion." I agree they did very well. I just think that, though I enjoyed "Keep the Car Running" immensely, they'd have been a lot better off playing something like "Rebellion (Lies)" to an audience that was so unfamiliar with their work. |

Re: *****Arcade Fire on SNL*****
Never heard of them before this thread, and didn't see them on SNL.
Downloaded the new album and Funeral and have enjoyed them both 2nite. Thanks. |

Re: *****Arcade Fire on SNL*****
I just started watching this ep on DVR and just wanted to say that the SNL cast doing the characters from the office was really good and the impressions were spot on.

I watched at least half of it and enjoyed almost all of that. Things just seemed so incredibly random and bizarre tonight. And I agree- great Office impersonations. Except for Kenan. |

Re: *****Arcade Fire on SNL*****
I think a lot of people don't realize that SNL has gotten a LOT better in the last 2-3 years. I always hear people talking about how bad it is now but usually they haven't really watched it since it's really low point awhile ago.
Not that it matters to me, I'll watch it as long as it's on the air. [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] SNL |

That was a pretty sweet performance. Rather focused for them though. I hope they display some of their normal stage energy on the next song. [ QUOTE ] I hope they play "No Cars Go" next. [/ QUOTE ] [/ QUOTE ] To clarify my confusion on this, I had no idea this was a track on their new album. I just knew it from the EP, so it seemed like an odd desire. Revoked! |

Re: *****Arcade Fire on SNL*****
SNL has slowly gotten better over the last two years but this year has been a pretty big drop off until the last 2-3 episodes.
its still not even close to the fallon/ferrel/fey/mckay etc days |
