Just used the lovely customer service feature on Doyles Room to talk to a rep and this was our conversation. Not sure how much stock to put into it, but at least it is encouraging.

The proxy server is turning out to be my biggest problem...I have the address, a phone number and 10 bank accounts...but I'm having difficulty getting a proxy server thru Canada...I've have to log in thru a proxy in Japan, which resulted in a phone call from the site (PartyPoker) to confirm that it was really me still playing...

Any ideas on where to get a proxy from Canada?

There's plenty of proxy services in Canada, they even let you choose what country to connect through:

I don't see any such news release on any major news wire, and there is no announcement that I can find on the Doyle's Room home page.

I have read hundreds of times that findnot.com is the worst thing to try using.

I just chatted with a manager who could not confirm this report on gambling911. I think that I will withdraw my money from there and wait until March. Too bad, I liked DoylesRoom. Hopefully, they will go to a new network and continue to accept US players.

i thought that the network was leaving the US, and Doylesroom was going to find their own network so they could still be open to US players.

I've heard nasty rumors that this service is not reliable, and that some people have had Neteller or poker accounts closed for using it.

I am assured by the "manager chat" that this was false.. HMMMM who to believe

Host-Maggie (14:38:33): Hi, welcome to our poker room. How can I help you?
ME (14:38:39): is Doyles closing to US players?
Host-Maggie (14:39:03): no we are not
ME(14:39:55): I guess you couldnt tell me if you really were or not huh? Gambling 911 released a statement
Host-Maggie (14:40:07): yes, that statement is not true
ME (14:40:30): I hope so..I like the site. I assume you are changing networks then?
Host-Maggie (14:40:43): we still don't have the official word on that
Host-Maggie (14:40:51): but we will be letting our players know as soon as we do
ME (14:41:06): I had heard that it had to be by the end of the month?
Host-Maggie (14:41:39): we will let you know as soon as we have the official word from management
ME (14:41:59): ok. thanks... Could you tell me if the date is accurate atleast?
ME (14:42:55): end of this month to leave tribecca
Host-Maggie (14:43:07): no, I don't have that information
