Sip Ginger Ale. This is what my doctor suggested to me when I got food poisoning a few weeks ago. It's very easy on your stomach and will help you towards digesting soup later on.

BTW a quick fix could be to drink a carbonated drink like 7-Up or Sprite or Diet Coke

Coke, yes. Citrus based drinks, no.

I finally got tired of it around 2 and went out and got some coke, ended up working like a charm.

Feel much better now. [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

even better than coke is warm coke syrup. basically simmer the coke on the stove until most of the carbonation is gone and it thickens a bit. it's delicious and very easy on the stomach.

gingerale is good too.

and to the BBV EMT, do you have to place the IV in yourself, or do you get someone to assist? any advantage to using Lactated Ringers over normal Saline?

My worst ever day after was spent throwing up my own saliva, which after a while, started coming up with what looksed like yellow milk curds. I assumed this was bile- anyone want to clear up what this actually was?

A friend of mine was vomitting so violently that one of his blood vessels by his eye popped.

Sickest thing ever.

Don't have any good advice but I just wanted to say how much throwing up bile sucks. I had a very similar experience once (without the "oregano") and the consistent puking lasted for probably 16 hours or so. I felt like [censored] but didn't puke much for the next 24 hours or so and after that felt it cleared up really quickly.

This happens to me everytime I drink too much. I also break blood vessels in my face. I have thrown up every half hour for over 12 hours before. The next day my face looked like I got my butt kicked.
