Sorry, I went away for the weekend.

I would be glad to help in anyway if you need some assistance, Octopi.

I would add that another potential topic could be pictures taken during "The Golden Hour". This is close to the sunset idea, but a little more wide-open. Sunsets and The Golden Hour, or something.

Anyway, if that doesn't fly, I would go for street scenes.

Hey guys...I was also away for the weekend. It's a toss up right now for street scenes and shadows. Will post the topic up tomorrow, we'll see how it goes!

Can we not do street scenes in February?- if you expect us to take them this month, rather than use archival stuff.

First assignment is up: Doors. Let's see where this one goes and use it to judge new assignments in the future.

octopi,

Just to confirm, would you like me to delete any future posts in the other thread that are not actual entries?

Onthebutton recommends using Imageshack to host a smaller thumbnail linked to an offsite photo. The forum formatting is done for you. The downside is that after a certain bandwidth, you can no longer see the photo.

Imageshack also lets you resize the image for message boards, and then you can hotlink the direct URL. That sidesteps the bandwidth problem.

Yeti: That would be perfect. Hopefully people will keep that to a minimum. I'll try to 'move' the posts I catch, too.

Private Joker: Awesome. I've never used any image hosting and wasn't sure what the deal with lots of views and thumbnails was.

Quick question and excuse my ignorance if I missed it, but are we posting pictures that WE have personally taken? Or can we just find pictures of doors online and post them?

I didn't see this addressed in the OP or the first photo (doors) thread.

kipin: These are all to be photos you have taken yourself. They can be taken v. recently in response to the subject, or older photos you happen to have.

redeyes: great start!
