Spanish 21

[/ QUOTE ]

spanish 21 has a house edge when properly played equal to or slightly lower than six-deck blackkjack at most strip casinos.

3CP: QT2 is the lowest hand you should stay with I believe.

Per the Wizard of Odds, you should stay with Q64 or better. See http://wizardofodds.com/threecardpoker

When you play Caribbean Stud at a casino where the delaer qualifies at AK I don't play 22 unless there is an A,K or 2 showing and I don't play 33 unless there is an A,K,2, or 3 showing. I may play AKQ if an A or K is showing but I typically don't.

If you play at a place where the cards are always dealt from the same starting position try and sit there or as close to there as possible. I can't tell you how many times I've seen someone leave seat 2 open and someone wanders by and places a bet there and gets a full house or some other monster that would have gone to seat 3. This is pure superstition. Where you sit at the table, and whether someone enters or leaves the table, does not bear at all on your likelihood of getting any given hand.

BS, this is completely true. Its the same reason why I always go all-in blind every time I have the small blind in hold'em. After all, I get my cards first. I just fold when I am on the button since I am the last person to get cards.

I can't tell you how many times I have seen the SB flop a full house when I have played live. Also, never, ever sit out at a poker table. Sometimes a player will sit out and if you reconstruct what their cards would have been, they would have flopped quads. I have also seen this happen a bunch of times.

In CS you are dealt all 5 cards at once so yes it does change what hand you get.

LOL. One of the first times I played CS I sat down in seat 2 and a guy in seat 3 told me how to play. The first or second hand (I can't remember) I got a huge hand and on top of the regular payout (the dealer qualified) I got a bonus. The guy was kind of pissed off though as that would have been his hand if I hadn't sat down just then.

BTW, in LA the dealer gets her cards first. I hear in LV they get their cards last. Is this true?

Hey,

I am going to miz things up and play a few games that I dont normally play this weekend at turning stone.

I know the rules and how to play but I was hoping to get some tips (besides "dont play, they're -EV games")

So, what is the basic rule(s) of thumb for Carribean Stud?

And, same question for 3-Card Poker?
