Well I think the preflop call was questionable. I think its not profitable at .50/1.00 (thats where I play) to call 2 w/ 22 from any position preflop. I think fold>raise>call in this situation.

Failing to recognize that position isn't what's important here is a big problem. I think this is a pretty standard call with three players in the pot already. Folding is the next best action, which isn't that far behind.

Call >~ Fold >> Raise

Yes, it was backward play to call turn and raise river. I was just running out of time trying to decide what to do and took a stupid middle path. I'm still not so sure that it's an obvoious 3-bet on this turn though.

If you claim that 3-bet is the way to go, you are basically saying that more than 33% of all players at the micro level are so unknowing that they limp w Q7 or Q5 UTG. In my (limited) experience that's not the case. At least not at stars. I'm happy if I got 2/10 of that variety at my table. 3/10 is heaven.

Bona: Why would you want to fold pocket 2's with three players already in the pot? Why would you want to raise those three with 22? Calling and hope we hit a set is the obvious play isn't it?

Of course they're playing Q7 or Q5 if they are suited. People play suited queens at micros all the time, especially at .25/.50.
