I had dinner with singer at WPT Niagara, and he is def. not a dbag, he is just a quiet guy in general. If he wasn't talking to people at the table, it isn't because he thinks he is too good to talk to them.

I could have just gotten the wrong impression, but I'm pretty sure that if you actually get him talking, you will realize he is a good guy.

I'll explain the story why I think he's a dbag.

A hand comes up where UTG who has been very tight so far opens UTG I have AK UTG+1 and call singer calls behind.

Flop is T 7 8 it checks through

Turn is an A UTG checks I bet 1500 into the 2k pot singer calls other guy folds.

River is a 2 I bet 3.5-4k Singer tanks for a while and throws some chips in the pot.

Now this is the first time I have ever really played live and I have heard all kinds of horror stories about exposing your hand early etc. so I wait for the dealer to say show before flipping my hand up this is probably about 5-10 seconds after he calls. The dealer says show I show and singer tosses his cards in the muck.

Than afterwards we have the following convo (obviously paraphrased)

Singer: Took a while to show there thought I was good.

Me: Sorry I don't play live much and hear all these horror stories so I just wanted to be sure.

Him: Well next time you shouldn't take so long

Me: Well, sorry I wasn't trying to slow roll you I just was being safe.

Then he doesn't say anything but gives me a [censored] you look and that's the end.

I know it's a small meaningless story but it was my one encounter with him so what do you expect.

edit: I don't know how this comes off online it might have been one of those you have to be there things.

Also Funkimunki was at my table so he might be able to confirm/deny any of this if he remembers.

he suffered awful beats to paul-ambrose last year also, guy has bad luck

[/ QUOTE ]

i'm pretty sure these beats came after singer caught a miracle straight on the river vs. SPA in a pot that should have gone to Steve Pa and given him like a 3.5-1 lead going into HU...either way, justice was served in the end.

eagles, that seems pretty weak if that one story is all you've got. I played with him a lot last year and have talked to him once or twice since and he seems like a very nice, but very quiet guy.

legend, it was more like a 6-1 lead I would have had (K9<T9 all in on the 964 flop)...

Steve
