Re: 2 pair on 4th street in Stud Hi/Lo. Uncomfortable playing high hands
Don't check 5th. If you were ahead on 4th (which you very likely were) then you're still ahead on 5th, bet it. Everything else looks reasonable.
Here's a few things I like to keep in mind while playing a high hand.
First, you want to play them in position, so don't limp in first with a hand like jacks or queens. Limping late like you did in this hand is reasonable (provided your cards are reasonably live). Your opponents will know you're going high and you'll likely be punished throughout the hand by the low draws, so keep in mind what cards are left to act behind you on 3rd and how they tend to play. Playing them near last to act is good. Calling raises with them is bad.
Second, be very carefull about playing them multi-way. Don't invest a lot into the pot until you're fairly sure you can either knock some out via an early check-raise or know it's not going to be a multi-way pot.
In short, playing for half the pot stinks, so short handed is best. High hands are best heads up where you can punish the low draw.
