5 Card Tripple Draw hi/lo

Before this thread dies, I thought I'd point out a couple of things:

It's nice to scoop in hi-lo games by having hands that can win both ways, but there are other ways to win, usually by getting a lot of dead money in the pot. Think of crazy pineapple hi-lo; if you can get a lot of callers early, then get it heads up later, you can be close to a lock to split the dead money.

Another possibility is by misdirection. If you have a high hand, but can convince opponents that you are locked in for low, you can get the lows to drop and have a chance to scoop.

It is axiomatic (and somewhat elementary) that two-way hands do well in hi-lo games, but there are other approaches to winning. If any OtherPokerists get a chance to play hi-lo TD, I suggest they give it a shot, they might find they like it. [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]
