Re: Card protectors
I have a small mushroom that has been preserved in lacquer. If someone asks me what it is I tell them it is an old dried up dog's dick, but only while they are holding it.

I used to use foreign coins, but gave up on it. Really there's not much point in using anything other than a random chip from your stack. You can't lose it (in the sense of misplacing it) and nobody gives you grief. [/ QUOTE ] I guess if you don't have a chip, you don't get a hand. |

Re: Card protectors
50 cent piece if I have one on me.
"American Beauty" chip if I remember, and want to be slightly rude. Otherwise, chip from my stack. |

...and a computer mouse with the cord cut off... [/ QUOTE ] I think that's funny as hell, but that's why I have a day-job I was playing in the Venetian Deep-stack last Saturday and saw a person using a 7oz polished gold nugget he pulled out his mine in Dawson City |

Re: Card protectors
I usually use a $10 silver commemorative chip from Caesars LV that I got out of one of those ridiculous tourist slot machines on my first trip to Vegas in 1995. I like that it has some of my own personal gambling history to it.

Re: Card protectors
I used to use this little statue of Ganesh. I thought it was fitting.
Then one day I forgot it and had to use a chip from my stack instead. Never went back. |

old dried up dog's dick [/ QUOTE ] That's is funny stuff - ROFL. I use a silver dollar coin that use to be an money clip. Since I never have any money in the clip, I removed the clip so it's just the coin. P |

Re: Card protectors
I use this:
That is why i got the Diceman nickname. I originally used a cheapo crappy metal die from an Xmas cracker, but the silver rubbed off so i bought one of them for £2.50. Meh, slightly cheesy i guess, but its served me well over the last couple of years. |

Re: Card protectors
I inherited my Great-Grandfather's silver dollar collection. He didn't collect them as a hobby, they were left over from the great depression. That was the only money he used/trusted then, and kept everything he had on the farm(didn't trust the banks.) I use one of his silver dollars. I like the weight and size, and it means something to me. Not sure what he would think of me sitting on my butt in a Casino though.
