1. Don't see remotely how this belongs in 'Psychology'. You're talking about a hand you saved money on. This should either be in SSNL or BBV.

2. If villian checks aces on the river here, he's a terrible, terrible poker player. As in I don't think I've ever seen a player bad enough to check aces here. If your read wasn't "worst player ever", you probably didn't know villian well enough to check down the turn and river.

Ok, let's consider the following example:
You raise 5 BB UTG with KK and the Button makes it 15. You have a bad feeling and think he got aces. You consider moving in with 100 but your gut instinct tells you he got aces, so you should fold.
How good must your gut instinct be to make a fold in this situation worthwhile? 50 % of the time it's right and you save 100 and 50 % of the time it's wrong and you lose your raise + 100 more. (Of course, you can win even if he got aces, but he can also win with his QQ or AK). So if your gut instinct isn't better than 50 % a fold should be - EV and you should play as if he hasn't aces.
The question is how good your gut instinct has to be to make a fold worthwhile?
As I said my read wasn't that strong and he was a very weak player. The real reason I played c/f was that my gut instinct told me he got aces. And that's why I put it in psychology.

Brag disguised as a really vague psychology question?

If you think so...
What's my convenience with bragging like that?

Question for bet and win, if you raise 5bb, and the button raises to 15bb, and you KNOW he has aces, you should still be calling for set value. WHen you get top set, he will put you on ak or kq,and will happily lose his stack to you.

Of course, but that's not the issue here. Let's decrease the stacks left to 30.

Well, why would you ever fold KK preflop in a cash game for a 30BB all-in.

Nope - he's 100% correct. Feel free to carry on, OP.
