Not entirely "foolproof" as dairy is difficult to digest, particularly for the lactose impaired. But still the right idea.

You want to eat a meal high in fat and protein before drinking. Steak and eggs are my personal favorite.

Also keep a few handfuls of peanuts with you to supplement as you go. Sneak a handful of nuts in the john.

If you can, alternate a glass of water between cocktails.

Drink one shot of olive oil right before you go out. It will taste horrible, but it slows the alcohol entering the blood stream and you can drink alot more.

BTW, just because someone challenges you to do something doesn't mean you have to do it. Having a high tolerance is expensive.
