i hope all of u agree that the 50c ante in the $1-3 game at FOXWOODS is WAY TOO HIGH for 1-3. its fine for $5-10 but certainly not for $1-3 and most definitely needs to be eliminated. who all agrees??

That's way too high. I've never been to Foxwoods & still agree with that. Its highway robbery.

.50 cents is ridiculous for $1/3, agreed. It's too high for 1/5 also, but I bet that makes it the best 1/5 game in the US...

I've read about 4/8 games in California w/ a $1 ante.
I think 25% of the small bet is also too high, ideally an ante should be between 10-20% of the small bet.
Ex. 5/10, .50 cent ante
10/20, $1 ante
20/40, $3 ante

i love that ante. it is high considering the format, but against the typical players here, your ante steal attempts will work often and you're getting an enormous return.

it also encourages alot of players to limp with hands you have a nice equity edge over.

if you play pretty solid and agressive, you will make alot of money.

you kidding? alot of people fold if they're first three cards arent spectacular and they're facing a raise.

maybe you're picking the wrong spots to try it.

i see you're from kansas, how often do you play at foxwoods?

The 1-5 spread at Seneca Niagara Casino has a $1 ante, $1 force...now THATS a high ante.
