I wanted to post and let you guys know that bodog is paying out money and in a reasonable time period, but the fact that many people are rushing to take out their money is overloading them. Bodog is not going under, they still have plenty of people playing (pokerscout.com). I requested a payout of $500 on Saturday January 20 through Western Union. While waiting for the information I read these blogs daily worrying about not getting the money and all these ridiculous panicky theories espoused on this site. I received my payout information on Friday which is 5 business days after the payout request. I went to Western Union and the money was very easy to extract. I think that we need to be careful what we write on these forums because panicky postings cause scared people to panic. You will get your money and your payout will be processed in the order it was put in. Please everyone no more panicky postings because those cause much more harm than good.

I wrote bodog support and asked about their plans. This is the letter I received back.

Dear Steve,

Thank you for contacting Bodog Poker Customer Service.

We appreciate the opportunity to clarify this situation for you. Bodog will
continue to service the US market after the
Superbowl and expect to be around for many seasons after that. Certain online
gaming sites are closing to US clients due to
pressure from their shareholders. Bodog is a privately owned company, and is
well positioned to continue offering online
gaming to our US clients as well as 100% safe and secure deposit options.

Thank you again for writing. If you require any further assistance, please do
not hesitate to contact us.

Regards,

Poker Customer Service

i had the same thing. i wouldn't say it was easy to get money out of western union, though. took at least 20 minutes and i didn't like waiting 5 days for it from bodog. neteller was a matter of hours.
