yeah, this is pretty weird.

I do 5 reps, 3 sets of 175 very cleanly. I think I was surprised at the weight and the bar just kind of shot to my chest and then I was [censored].

Good catch. Yeh, 215 without a spotter when you normally push up 175 will get you in trouble.

2 plates is 90 lbs. 90+90+45 = 225

The problem with the math occurs if you assume I was benching 175 to start.

if he replaces two 25 lb plates with two 45 lb plates, call me crazy, but shouldnt the total weight raise by 40 lbs?
