They started with 30k in chips and he doubled up to 60k in the first 2 hours, most likely from one great situation hand. No big deal.

I'll bet he had top-top

He had two pair and went all in on the turn. Guy calls with nut flush draw and the river blanks. Gift wrapped.

We can all agree a D-1 chip lead means next to nothing. However, one could speculate that JG is more motivated than usual to do well after being unceremoniously dumped by BoDog. Wonder whose logo he's wearing, or if he's down to just the "BuzzNation" ballcap.

Gold is out to prove something, and I think that he has.

He's out to prove that his luckbox works just as well on the east coast as it does in Vegas.

On a board of A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]8 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]2 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]5 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]3 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], Jaime Gold bets $16,000 and his opponent turns over A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]9 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], thinking Gold had checked. The floor is called over and it is determined that the player's hand is still like and he can act on. Gold tells him, "You should call, I am probably bluffing...". Instead, his opponent mucks the pair of aces and Gold turns over K-7 off-suit at he rakes the pot.
