as a mixed raced person (mother European, dad African), i'm 100% certain as a child given that experiment i would have picked the white doll and i'm sure 99% of others here would have as well. I find the experiment a little disturbing but not surprising. Don't feel bad though, it's just the way your mind has been conditioned. The human mind is very easy to manipulate, and in some instances you can't really help what you think.

If they really wanted to draw some conclusions they could have thrown some asian dolls in there. I'm pretty sure 95% of 5 year olds would pick DragonBallZ.

Considering that there is lawfulness to physical attraction, it could actually be inherent that negroids are, on average, less attractive than caucasoids.

If I rounded up 50 white guys and fifty black guys, gave them a few shots, and showed them slides of a hot white chick and a hot black chick side by side and asked which one they'd rather nail, which race do you think is going to come out on top?

"Hand me the baby that's bad" is a loaded question isn't it?

If the vast majority of them selected the white doll in this scenario does that make the children racist?

Unless you get a 50/50 split or something along those lines you have a story no matter what.

Obviously kids aren't going to expound how "Well neither baby is 'bad' you see"

And as someone pointed out above me, totally non-racially "white" is associated with good things and "black" bad

The color white is "virginal", clean, pure, etc.
The color black is dark and scary.

You get blackballed, blackmailed, etc.

In old westerns white hat cowboys were good, black hatted ones bad.

So there are plenty of non-racial issues going on.

I will say however this probably has a real racial component too.

AKA I bet most white girls probably pick the white baby doll.

I would be curious to see how hispanic and asian kids picked.
