3-bet him.

[/ QUOTE ]

the only reason to do that would be if you expect him to rebluff you

thanks Jay, got it to work and found the hand history.

OP you should def include stacks. Effective stacks were $1765.

[/ QUOTE ]

i think deeper stacks might even be more of a reason to fold here, BUT, it also likely increases your range for raising the flop

[/ QUOTE ]

for sure, I wasn't saying stack sizes swayed the decision one way or another, just that they were important. I don't mind saying what I had later.

yah im just saying that youre more likely to raise air/gutshot with deeper stacks because a single pair has a tough decision and likely won't 3-bet you, whereas if you raise those hands which have some float/SD value with 100bb stacks, you risk getting 3-bet a lot more often

i think it's a good fold regardless of stack sizes though

id prob call and see what he does on the turn. i think cts can have pair + sd, sets, two pair, straight... yea just about everything so it really is more about how he views you. i think fold would just make it easiest on u though.

I think I'm with tc here. Really depends on if cts thinks you're weak probably. Unless cts has dramatically change his style, man it's hard to fold this.

Of course, since we are talking about cts, he obviously has 56 here all day.

I think I'd call, fold to turn bet vs. cts

I like a check here if you suspect he's getting tricky with c/rs.

I probably suck because I'm not folding here vs. a tricky opponent. I would call and re-eval turn.

There's no way I fold the flop. I would at least take a card off.

This is cts, for chrissakes.

I know, I know, reverse implied odds, he might three barrel us, etc. But we have pocket kings!

Surely there's a lot of air/weak semi-bluffs in his range, and I think he can definitely shut down with a lot of his bluffs.

I would generally fold JJ or lower, not because I have too much fear about an overpair, but more from a game theory perspective, where I think you should probably only call here some percentage of the time.

Maybe a fold is correct, but there's no way I could lay down to one street of aggression from Cole on a bluff friendly board.
