- I realised this was the wrong fold; after evaluating the situation (now I have time); I put him on a JJ/QQ....is that the right thinking here?

The only thing I did wrong in this hand was that I induced a push on the turn with this sort of hand - but didn't call it? - right?

Was just curious of the overbet on the turn - he must of known I'd had 2 big cards and his interpretation of me was someone who'd call one of those types of bets as I did so with a draw earlier on...so you think it's an easy call Creed?

It's as easy as it gets.

I think his most likely holding is a pair with a straight draw. He is unlikely to be holding a smaller overpair here unless it's KK.

The 5 kills his two pair outs and makes your hand stronger vs his range IMO. It's unlikely but possible he has something with a 5 in it; that's a risk you run.

Thanks Creed this was the sort of reply that really helps me - I really do figure he held an over pair as opposed to for example an 8/6 (pair + draw).

The 5 is a very small possibility - he could of put me on a big overpair in which case it's better for him to C/R me all in rather than push as he mabye thinking I will bet the turn strong to push out the draw.

Conclusion - most of the time in future I WILL be calling this bet.

Mabye I just need to grow some balls to play 5/10 as I've only just started - thanks for the constructive feedback though guys.

first off, villan is not banzan, but MyRenovatio.

similar styles, lag/barely pfr.

I actually like the fold, if you ever played with him before, I've seen him do this a lot with boats getting calls from tptk, etc.

Well - the first person who liked the fold....I thought he was Banzan?

I respected this play as I believed we were on a similar level of thinking during the hand as he'd expect a call from an AA/KK which is what I've represented this hand?...and that I might be able to get away from it if he C/R'd all in on the turn not getting all of my $$$.

I don't play this high and I suck, but I don't think you're very obviously repping KK/AA. Unless villain has a read on you as a super nit, your range is way wider than KK/AA (99+ at least, right?).
