how do you reckon this, mate? is it the bonuses you can buy in their shop? the amazon gift certificates? how can you get the max out of it?

Okay, assume you accumulate 500,000 VPP a year. (I play full time at home). At the SuperNova level, this is 1,750,000 FPP a year.

Before we go any further, first realize that there are milestone bonuses. They are as follows:

$2,000 at 200,000 VPP
$3,000 at 300,000 VPP
$4,000 at 400,000 VPP
$5,000 at 500,000 VPP

This totals $14,000 and has cost you 200,000 FPP. You are left with 1,550,000. Now how you convert these FPP to cash is a matter of personal preference. Some people get things from the FPP store and sell them on ebay. That is too much work for me. Others use this concierge service through the VIP program for gift certificates or other valuable items. I have a friend that just got a 52" high definition flat screen TV. Some players play single or multi table satellites to win an entry into the big weekly tournament and then unregister and sell the T$ at ~98%. Or you can take the easy way out and just purchase the cash bonuses.

So let's say you purchase the cash bonuses. It costs 100,000 FPP for $1500. You can purchase 15 bonuses with your FPP, totaling $22,500. And note that this is the worse conversion rate of all the ideas I listed above.

So right now we have $36,500 with 50,000 FPP left over. The remaining FPP have a $795 value in the store. Adding that in we are >$37,000.

Now add in the freeroll value. Most players don't take these events very seriously which means that there is huge +EV in them. I final tabled two events last year and almost a third while not really playing too many of them. The value for a Nova is $60/week AND $20/month. This totals >$3000 and doesn't include the freerolls they were offering last year for WSOP seats and the such.

Our total estimated value is $40,000, and that's on the safe side.

Based on my pokertracker stats, I pay $18.70/hr in rake. I estimate that it will take 2250 hours to get there, or $42,075 in total rake.

40,000/42,075 = 95% rakeback

Enjoy your 27% at Full Tilt.

If I've never really played at Stars and had to build up to Supernova, how many hands would it take if I play NL400 (6 man)? I went to the site and looked at it all but you seem pretty up to speed on it.

I'm not sure.

If you search the internet bonuses forums, a couple of weeks ago there was a big discussion where everybody chimed in on how fast they accumulated FPP at the level/game that they played.

Here, I searched for you.

I'd only have to play 157K hands to reach SuperNova?? That's doable in 2 months of hard work. Thanks for the help.

keep in mind 1p0kerboy's figures are assuming you are getting supernova bonuses the whole time. If you're just starting, you don't get the 3.5x bonus in the beginning. You'll earn slightly less, and maybe not that significant, but I just wanted to let you know when you start extrapolating and don't see the numbers working.

500 000 VPP should be around 1 000 000 hands.
Thats almost 4k hands a day playing 5 days a week.
4 tabling at 90 hands per hour, that will be more than 10 hours of play everyday.. Is this a bit of a stretch?
