they were niobe's sister, her bastard (this is who you thought was Cleopatra's son?), and vorenus's daughters. They were not with Octavian - he passed them on the way out of the city.
edit: also it makes way more sense this way. why would Erastes kill them when he can make some money off of them by selling them into slavery? Vorenus is about to kill him anyways, so he might as well say they've been raped/killed. |

It was Vorenus' family, apparently sold into slavery and sent off, rather than murdered, as believed. Not sure what to make of it, other than that Vorenus' grief therapy sessions may not get better any time soon...

This whole series is amazing. Its too bad that its not more popular because a lot of people are missing out.

I don't get how the sister-in-law goes from being let out of the cage to tell Vorenus and Pullo that the children have been taken, to being in the slave cart with them. Maybe it was supposed to be a different woman in the cage, but I watched it again and I'm pretty sure that was her.

I don't have t.v, could you, using colorful language describe the show? [/ QUOTE ] A hip and dark version of Imperial Rome. The story line features on several chararcters from two lowly Roman soldiers with 7 gold horseshoes up their ass to the Julii family (Caesar's family). First class acting and lots of nudity and immoral behavior.. Season 1 starts with Caesar's triumph of Gaul through his victory in civil war to his assassination. Season 2 has just started... |

No, Octavian just passed by them on the way out of Rome. He looked awesome with the black eyes. This is going to be an exciting season for me since I don't know this part of the story as well as the previous portion.
