Default Re: Poker: Comedy of Errors

Big Limpin,

I am guilty of being unclear in my post.

The main two concepts are that the 'betting dialogue' in poker (your bets, his bets) is not precise. In this way it is akin to bidding systems in bridge. You try to put your money in with the best of it but the very opacity of the betting does not make it hundred percent clear whether you are winning or not (nor do one's hand reading skills). Because one of you is allin, the hand is played out and one sucks out on someone and you have found yourself in the position of a fish and find the same joy in bucking the odds. The second point was just that embarrassing joy one finds in sucking out.
