PSU and it's not even close.
UM is in a [censored] location compared to PSU and is nowhere near as good academically and socially as PSU.

I am a student at PSU. This school is pretty sweet, but right now it is literally snowing outside, with a long walk to class. If you live on campus it is a lot better. As for ballin... the parties are def wild and crazy, and not just frats. Plenty of poon for the taking. The best part, has to be the poker scene. Several dorms have several cash games at various stakes running for a good 10 hours a night through the week. Anyway, i hope this helps. If you do got to PSU, i hope you get to see a great football season. As I hopefully will have already graduated.

lol at PSU having 6500 freshman...im pretty sure its closer to 11,000....as for the bandwith thing, yeah there is a limit but it is insanely high and should never be a problem really, hasnt been for me. We party hard and yeah as youve already stated football games/tailgating are as good as it gets. campus is amazing. cold weather sucks but im from PA anyway so its nothing new. I need to find these poker games! all ive seen is gay .25-.50nl and 1/1nl anyone know where i can find the bigger games?

ok, saw just under 9,000 freshman at University Park on the penn state site, but had a faculty member tell me it was almost 11,000 so idk
Go to Penn State. You wont regret it, and if you dont go there, youll never know what you missed.

[/ QUOTE ] This was a total pain in the ass, but unless you're playing online games (CS, UT et al) or downloading movies, it really wasn't too much of an issue. Also, the dorm you live in is a factor on bandwidth and connection speed. If you live in a dorm with all freshman (highly recommended your first year), you're sharing the internet with a bunch of kids who are so excited about having internet 24/7 that they're downloading all sorts of crap. Then again, I was a freshman 5 years ago and I still had 56k dialup at home, so things have probably changed.
