Hmmmm, interesting point you make. Doesn't really matter, I'm used to buying in for the $300 max at the Borgata 1/2 NL.

Do you think its worth hitting TI? Its pretty small, right?

I just want to go on record that there aren't enough "Where's the best small-stakes game in Vegas?" threads.

They have 8 tables, with usually about 5 of them in use for cash games (the others are used for their rolling tournaments).

Of those cash game tables, usually 2-3 are NL and 2 are 2/4.

The 1/2 $500 max game plays sort of like a poor mans 2/5. Most tourists buy in for 200-300, and the locals (3-4 per table) usually buy in for the max.

PF raises are usually 15-20 when the game has been going for a while.

The Caesars 1/2 has a $500 max as well, but they also take a high hand JP drop. They will have more games then TI, but not necessarily better ones. TI gives $2 per hour comps, if it matters. I don't like the CP room, so between the two I would choose TI, but over TI, I would take the $300 max at any of the Harrahs properties (Ballys being my fav of those) or the V $200 max. When the V changes to the $300, it will probably be my home base again.

Damn Michael, that long walk from the Caesars parking garage must've burnt you out or something and made you hate it for life. Did they have to wheelchair you out? You do know the walk to the V poker room from their parking garage is pretty much the same distance, right? Or do you leave the mileage counter at home when going to V?

Caesars poker room isrightnext to Pure, and the donktastic games are there like they will be everywhere else on the Strip on a Saturday night, from Wynn to Mandalay Bay.

(There's no reason to go to a casino north of Wynn on the Strip unless hitting downtown, really.)

I never have to walk from the parking garage at V, as I always valet there (thier poker pass makews it no problem), and the walk from the main entrance to the poker room is brisk and nice, as the grand hall is a very nice walk through.

I didn't think I was that hard on Caesars above. I just said that I didn't like the room. In the hate on CP thread, I was much more detailed. Note that I didn't mention the poor handling of their HHJ funds as a new reason not to like them (not that just adding a HHJ wasn't enough), but since you prodded me, I will. It is a lot more the just a long walk from the PG that makes me not like that room, my friend. A LOT more.

Is Caesars where you work now, 52s? When you worked at Venetian, you found it to be the best yourself, at the time, IIRC.

I played at TI exclusively for about 4 weeks during December, and found their 1/2 game to be good, and their room to be comfortable, and staff to be warm and firendly. It was a nice intimate room. Between the Caesars and TI, I would take TI. Why is this so hard to believe, 52s? The rooms are completely different. Obviously, between V & CP, I would take V. Of course, this is just my opinion, and I could be wrong.

Edited to add: Of course, I do know how to be objective, despite my overall dislike of their room. As you can see from this thread: http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showfl...e=0#Post8815665 I agree that their tournies are amongst the best in the city. For cash games, though, I would seek elsewhere, as good cahs games can be found everywhere else, whereas good tournies are only available in a handful of places.

I played the TI, probably 3 days in a row when I was there last time. They often had 2 games going. They were so, so, but all in all I liked the Caesars game better.

I was in Vegas during the CES and thought Bally's would be awesome. I was disappointed big time and ended up spending most of the time at Caesars and Venetian.
