good question, i figured i would get him to define his hand with that bet.

the call was dumb. i either push or fold right there.

Well, his hand looks pretty defined at that point. I have to fold the turn here, but would probably have led anywhere from 3/4 to the pot and found out the same info.

I'm assuming this was live, am I in error? The only possible hands that I think you're ahead on are A8s or 99 and I don't think either is very likely at all. Did you have any read on the villian at all within the two orbits?

I dont like the turn overbet. especailly if your planning on calling a raise.
The river is ugly aswell, bet/fold here sucks, assuming your folding here right?
I wouldnt be so eager to get all the money in the pot. Just bet 3/4 pot on turn and call him down.

This might seem weak, but with bottom set this deep I'd just call the flop raise I think and re-evaluate on the turn vs most players. I think it's a big mistake to 3 bet this flop vs a good player this deep. As good as your hand is, you don't want to go broke with it or play a monster pot this deep.

As played river is a fold I think, I'd probably check call though to get a showdown and maintain some pot control.

i played this horribly. however, the reason i posted was what happened after the hand. i finally folded, having lost more then i should have. my opponent then put his cards out and said pick a card. i said it doesn't matter the hand is over, let's just play. he turned over an 8. the guy next to him quickly reached over and flipped over the other card an A. i still would fold again - hopefully earlier.

thank you all for your feedback.
