Re: Adultery in Michigan could carry a life sentence?
I'm guessing this involves a governor's wife and a handsome private investigator.

Re: Adultery in Michigan could carry a life sentence?
[ QUOTE ]
If you get divorced do you get out of jail? [ QUOTE ] That is just not true. I have no problem envisioning a Devout Christian Judge, or a Devout Muslim Judge, enacting this penalty to the fullest extent of the law. Since they see it as breaking one of God's commandments as well. [/ QUOTE ] I think most Christians make it all the way to the New Testament and learn about forgiveness and so forth. [/ QUOTE ] I think you're overestimating the percentage of Christians that have ever read much of the bible. However, going to church at all will probably get them that information regardless. |

[ QUOTE ]
There is no feasable circumstance in which a judge would actually sentence someone to a lengthy prison sentence for adultery alone. So who cares.. [/ QUOTE ] You've never been to Michigan, have you? This is the state that has prosecuted people for swearing in front of children. |
