when i'm in this same situation with JT on a QJT flop, i ALWAYS get stacked.

perhaps call, shove safe turn? (if you boat up you can check or weaklead.)

I would even fold top two here. Why mess around when you are deep stacked and can easily be beaten? He could easily have J10 and if he has a straight draw you're not that big of a favorite.

With a set, I'd shove because you have more outs against a straight.

Fold to the raise,

He raises pretty big with SB behind which makes a bluff pretty unlikely. Also he didnt reraise preflop making the chance of a big pair not so big.

Looks like he has a hand that is strong atm but very vulnerable, 2 pair, set, sucker straight etc. Might also be the nuts obv. It can also be a big draw like QdTd or JdTd then you are flipping at best. It might of course be the single nut flush draw but then you are not that big of a favourite and these times (and the very rare bluffs) doesnt make up for a push at all..

You have only put $54 in the pot so just muck it.

obvious fold too many hands beat you and you are coin flipping vs good draws

Whow this is interesting. My first reaction was that this is an obvious show and was a bit surprised by responses here on the thread. At the same time my experiance is also that when this happens to me I am often crushed. Making the decission in a standard case (with some orbitz at the table) you probably have to factor in if you been playing LAG or TAGish as people are more likely to play back against an aggressor.

Anyway, bs lets look at Pokerstove

Board: 9c 8d 7d

Equity
Hand 0: 43.306% { 8s7s }
Hand 1: 56.694% { JJ-99, QTs, JTs, T9s }

Our breakeven point is: 324/756 = 43% and thus a value neutral choice.

I think it is important here to characterize the opposition if we could add some more hands than it would probably be a show as it stands I would agree that fold is better as it reduces volalitily.

Macbeth: That's the least accurate hand range that I've seen in a while.

1) Yeah, w e're obviously nits, two pair can't possibly be losing, right? Would be insane to fold two pair! What time is tonight's ESPN WSOP episode again?

2) Big Jim is right, hand range needs to include hands like 98, 88, 77, TT, big non combo draw diamonds, etc.

ok, so what’s the hand range. Assume we add 77,88 and 98s, the overs and diamond draws here as well like AQs and KQs [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] .The win % drops to 41%. Higher pp I would assume he reraise with. If we add one of the overs QQ-AA assuming they belong 1/3 to the range, then win% jumps to 45%. Maybe Im a bit off but it looks like even steven here, leaning towards a fold.

Getting any closer on the range here, Jim or am I still way off ; ?
