I like Caesar's, I know it's primarily a nl room but I played 6-12 there a few times and these where the best games I've ever sat in. My last table, 5 ppl had little or no casino poker experience, 2 were huge calling stations and 2(me) just sat back value bet their a$$es off. One lady put in 22 bets on the flop with AA against an obv top set. She put in 6 bets until the guy had only a 100 bill behind and he threw it in and said that he was willing to go all the way, she threw in a bill she had and said call!
It's like when the room is crowded, the rich ppl will play any limit game that dosen't have a wait, next time I'm gonna try to start a 15 game.

Oh yeah, no more Red Bulls and BBJ such tho. But the food is pretty good.

Default poor cocktail service...

The cocktail service varies greatly dependent on who is working, but if one of the slackers is assigned to you're table, there could be an hour wait for a drink.

I like the space between tables, the comfortable chairs to use when waiting for a seat, the dealers, the fact that they try to get games other than Hold Em going.

My biggest beef with the room in lack of players. Whether the root cause is room location within the casino, number of rooms on the strip, or poor promotion and advertising, who knows, but they have an problem drawing players.

Default Caesars

I love the NL Tourneys at Caesars, the best in town!
Problems I have are lack of players at off times, cocktail service isn't the fastest or hotest, bad overall atmosphere, and most importantly I'm mostly a limit player and they rarely seem to get over a 6/12 limit game going there.
So If I want to play a lower limit, good tourney I will probably be going to Venetian in March because I know I can play the noon tourney and then have a few 8/16 or higher LHE games waiting for me when I eventualy bust out.

I often see people on this forum saying that they don't like Caesars because the quality of play is tough, tight, etc... I recently moved here, and have been hitting Caesars 1/2 $500 game a lot, and I really really don't see that much of a play difference between there and most other 1/2 rooms...
I mean, am I just lookin at a skewed sample that'll eventually shallow out, have the games gotten better... Am I too drunk to notice how tight everyone else is...?

My two cents:

I haven't been since the wsop so things might have changed significantly, but I really liked caesar's a lot, for the following reasons:

- plenty of low stakes NL games going at all times. I know this was skewed by the thousands of people being in town for the wsop, but still.

- level of play not noticeably different from the other major rooms

- Very spacious and comfortable room. I actually enjoyed the fact that it was secluded and separate from the rest of the casino.

- very professional and corteous staff

- awesome tournaments, very well run, in their own large separate room.

I'm going back end of march and I have to decide which hotel to ask a poker rate for, and at the moment I'm undecided between Caesar's and Venetian.

My trips to the room have all been weeknights, never weekends, and the hightest limit games going were 3/6. Fortunately, the pots were usually 6/12 size as some clown would normally raise pre-flop with something like J4 suited and get 4 or 5 cold callers. Very good game.

Last winter they had a 3/6 mixed game going two nights, but I didn't see any mixed games during July and November trips.

good luck

I love Caesars. It's one of my favorite 2 rooms, along with MGM. The only problem I have is the ancient cocktail waitresses. I've seem some pushing 70 in skimpy skirts. Not good.

1. The boring/sterile aspect of the room. Granted, I haven't been back since they "remodeled", but from what I recall, it was a banquet/bingo hall with poker tables, which was just a little too sterile for my taste, and allowed for little atmosphere.

[/ QUOTE ]

The room in very different now than it was in the summer. The sterile decor has been replaced with lots of large sports photos (especially from events at Caesars Palace) in the main room and poker player photos in the tournament room. They added some comfortable seating away from the tables, plants, and new lighting.

Be happy if you get one of the granny's serving you. At least she's willing to sling cocktails for 8 hours. One of the 30 something CW's I had on the last trip would disappear for a full hour, probably yacking on the cell phone. One of the players walked over to the sports book to grab a few beers.
