Trader Joe's has some very healthy sprouted wheat protein bread that I dig. Hint for health nuts: stay away from any bread made of enriched flour, including "wheat" bread. This is basically wheat that has been processed heavily. Whole wheat/sprouted wheat is the way to go.

Read the ingredients to determine healthy factor.
If that ain't your thang, then eat whatever tastes good.

BAD =

High fructose corn syrup - found in most "healthy" breads like Arnold (I'm pretty sure). Why? Cuz it tastes good.

Enriched whole wheat
Enriched (whatever)..... Enriched = white flour colored brown.

Good brands =
Masada
Natures Own Sugar Free
Natures Own whole wheat (brown and green package)
Natures own 7g carbs / high protein. (brown and yellow package)

Other good brands are in the all natural section and are awesome but pricey.

I got tired of bread always going bad when I was only through half the loaf, so I recently started just using tortillas. They keep fine in the fridge and are cheap as hell. Corn is the best.

For bread, I just buy whatever whole wheat bread is on sale. Sometimes I'll get rye. It seems like rye bread would last longer, but I have no idea whether it really does or not.

Yeah, bread in the fridge lasts quite awhile.

I eat Trader Joe's Soy Nut Crunch bread (or something like that). It's way better than it sounds.

Whatever whole wheat is on sale, plus I make a couple of loaves of sourdough every 6 weeks to 2 months or so.
