hate it. never folding in a blind war type situation like this with such a strong hand. if you want to fold to the cap, don't 3-bet, me on the other hand, I 3-bet & call a CAP all day to see worse flushes, slow played sets , etc. etc.

[/ QUOTE ]

this isn't really a blind war. imo 3bets is the perfect amount for this river. 2 is weak and 4 is a spew.

I like it.

Anyone who thinks that you're winning this hand >8% after he caps is a dreamer.

[ QUOTE ]
1. the fact that i didn't bet the turn
2. the fact that i raised preflop.
3. the fact that i 3bet the river.
4. the fact that he seems like a reasonable opponent.

5. BB check/called the turn.

I totally agree with everything PokerBob has said in this thread so far. You have to 3bet this river, and then when he 4bets you won't win it 1/15 times. He almost always has a better flush. BUT if you've made a couple, or maybe just even one such laydown earlier in the session, you probably have to call. But you should still 3bet.

i thought that, and that is why i 3bet the river. but i think a worse flush just calls the river muchmuchmuchmuchmuch more than caps it.

given the action and my read, i don't think so. so i folded. i also think the the way in which the pot got so large is also relevant.
