Yes you can have multiple Visas or MCs.
Don't apply for another card. |

If I get like 50 different credit cards and try to make them all out, will they cut me off before I max them all? I remember somebody here worked for a credit card company; are they watching my balance on the other cards, like if I run 40 cards up to a $5000 balance on each, can I keep charging on other cards?

cbloom,
No I don't think so wrt "if they are watching 24/7". I have no knowledge but have heard of rumors of people applying for a ton of credit cards to finance certain things. I bet this would work if you could get decent credit and apply for them slowly and get limits raised at all... but this begs the question... Why? |

Here's another dumb credit card question.....why do they keep raising my limits like every month when I never even come remotely close to spending as much money as my previous limit was? Do they think they are going to reach some magic number where I go "[censored] it, im gonna go spend 50 grand on my credit card today"?

There's some upper limit on total credit but it's wayyyy up there. You also might suffer adverse credit reporting with a ton of cards. As you use a card they up your limit hoping to get you to carry a balance and shove 24% interest up your bum.
If there's no annual fee, take the card. You never know. You go busto and it may be your out. Might be bail or a lawyer or 20 hookers, you just can't anticipate the potential need. Personal bankruptcy is the final solution for 20 maxed out cards. Party! Note: If you never use them they will yank the card. Charge a tank of gas every couple months to keep 'em up. |
