I wandered into the Aladdin yesterday because I had a good time playing in a tournament there this summer. First of all it takes about 10 minutes of walking through yet another crappy mall to get to the casino (and the same walk to exit.) T

First off, it's nowhere near 10 mins. 3 mins maybe, 10 no way. Second, poker players are lazy and will complain about a measly 10 minute walk and yet sit in their car at 5pm in bumper to bumper non moving traffic for an hour to get to a strip casino. Third, use Valet, its directly under the casino, or use the Paris valet and walk in the front door. It's about 20 feet away.

There's 2 valets there - one for the mall, and the other for the casino. Use the casino valet.

There are 3. One on Harmon side of the casino where Todai and Krave are, another at the main mall entrance, another under the casino (lobby area).

I'm going to have agree with the annoyingly long walk to get to the Aladdin casino when you self park is unacceptable.

[/ QUOTE ]

Alladin built a shopping mall that, oh by the way, had a casino/hotel attached. The emphasis was on the mall. And I think within days of opening they'd figured out they'd screwed up. But I don't see how to fix their screwed up parking garage situation without tearing out the theatre in the middle of it all.

And despite the insane walk at Alladin, it's still shorter than the walk from MGM's garage to the poker room.

Disagree with your view on Pechanga. I've played there about 5 times (it's a bit far from Orange county) and I love it. It's a very nice room and the action at 3/6 & 100NL has always been very good IMO.

Agree with everything you say about the Aladdin though. Stayed there in Nov of 05 and June 06. Action during the day was terrible, but was actually pretty awesome at night.

I self-parked there one time and after that walk said eff it. I valet on the casino lobby side, but probably won't be going back anyway.

Also a side note about Pechanga. It is a greeeeeaat place to pick up chicks on a Fri & Sat night. There is nothing to do in Temecula except Pechanga. It is the place to be period, especially if you like them a little trashy!
