I'm saying, it's going to be Behrooz Araz that comes out from behind the bed. [/ QUOTE ] I think it's Kim or Chase. |

If Jack does not kill someone tonight, I will be angry. He has now gone over one hour without killing someone; he is due for a rage outburst. Maybe he is getting soft? Threatening to cut the White House Chief of Staff's eyes out just doesn't cut it. [/ QUOTE ] well you got your rage outburst. |

My take on the first half
After an AWESOME episode last week, this is one is cool but disappointing in that it's falling into common 24 traps or ridiculousness. My complaints/observations:
1. Embarassing family member that makes no sense - The hobbit from division seems to have a crackhead sister. This role was previously played by the tiny baby who lived in CTU in seaseon 2? 3? 2. Crazy villain - Who the [censored] is this guy and why is he a cross of Hannibal Lecter and Sean Connery in The Rock. 3. Only one guy in CTU can do the job- Every season there are a few tasks that can ONLY be performed by one person. If we have someone else on our staff do it, the job won't be accomplished as well or as quickly, therefore we have to do something extreme (in this case, relase that guy from holding to hack into the secuirty of the highrise) 4. The waify Russianesque chick captive in the apt. - WTF are we making this about human trafficking? Let's stick to one (or at most a few) global issues 5. Is it just me or are the body counts no longer shocking? In season one and two you'd feel tension/anxiety when they discussed "blast zones" and potential casualties, now I'm pretty numb to it. 6. Jack Bauer is screaming 1 out of 3 sentences that he utters, and I love it. 7. I can't say this w/o possibly revealing a spoiler, I'll say later. Ok, time to unpause and watch the second half. |

[/ QUOTE ] Man, I honestly thought he was gonna follow through with his torture threats just now: Jack: "Trust me, you don't want to go down that path with me." Then wusses out when the goodamned hobbit tells him to take the deal. P*ssy |

Re: 24 - Episode 5.07 ***SPOILER*** sorta
Spot on with the casulaty reports being no longer shocking. Who cares about a few hundred thousamd people anymore? We only need one anyway and his name is Jack Bauer.
