Turn either King into a club and I call. Without it, I think our Kings our cracked. Though perhaps that isn't $5/10 thinking? Still, I think a fold may be in order.

have you played enough with this guy to see if he's willing to donk a re-draw?

What if I said I'd seen him donk a scare card, get called down and show a low pair exactly once in about an hour of play?

It's tough, I'm guessing that scare card he donked was trips this is a little different as we don't have top pair. He could be donking an A, flush, 5/4/8, or re-draw. If we had the K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] then we could easily call in fact it may be better to raise if we held it. Without it I think I would tend to call but fold if the river brings a 4th [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].

It may be bad play but if I don't know why an opp is donking in this situation then I usually want to find out.

Edit: I've just realised the pot size, the above line doesn't really apply as much, I'm thinking it's getting closer to a fold now.

Now, if I told you I raised, how much would I suck?

i think raising prevents all the positive things that can happen, permits all the negative things, and allows villain to play optimally against us.

i can't believe i'm the only one who said call down.

Now for the reason I titled the thread, "A hand for calibration."

It is, in fact, a hand from Ed Miller's blog:

http://www.notedpokerauthority.com/q...ike-again.html

And it really resonated for me after being involved in a previous couple of threads where the consensus was, "fold, he has the ace way too often."

It's short, please read it if you've got a minute.

I like that article, especially "Raise raise you always raise" (Lol).
But I dont think we get a definite answer. I think its still a fold because [ QUOTE ]

Villain just loves to play. Almost no preflop standards, loose but only moderately aggressive.
